SCHOOL PROJECTS

We believe that education is vital for community development.

In support of this belief and as part of our committment, we are planning to build a school in our target area.

This school facility will be used as an elementary school in the day time and a school for the adults in the evening. This facility will also be used for ongoing seminars in leadership and training in HIV awareness.

Currently all the sponsored children attend school, however some of them have to travel quite a few kilometers to reach the school. We desperately need a school in this area. If you want to participate in this project please contact us.

LITERACY PROGRAM

In the past Covenant sponsored a literacy program in western Ethiopia, similar to the one shown here. Out of that initial investment, approximately 400 farmers learned how to read and write. Because of their appreciation for education, the farmers were able to start a school in their village to educate their children with the help of a local church.

Prior to this work in that village there was no education available for both the farmers and their children. If you are interested in supporting a literacy program please contact us.
