A new office of Covenant International has been built and furnished in our project area. The project coordinator, Mr.Befkadu told us, the office will greatly enhance the effectiveness of their work to the community. The office also has a storage area for goods that is distributed to the children and their families. This office is built on the property of The Full Gospel church of Deberbrhan , Ethiopia .  This shows the benefit of  partnering with local community in cost effectiveness and cooperation.

The recent children's festival was a rare occasion for our sponsored children in many ways. They have come with their families to eat, drink their favorite soft drink,  play different games, be entertained and enjoy their peers. (This should be a normal childhood event).  Many still remember the occasion with fond memories.

Sponsor’s visiting their children in Ethiopia , from Canada has become a common occurrence in recent months. These phenomenons have helped to bond the children and their sponsors and it is giving hope to the sponsored children. Some sponsors even expressed their interest to adopt their sponsored children. More than this it has also increased the commitment level of our sponsor’s to the work of CIM. Recently one single mother of two has sponsored an additional seven children by herself after visiting her sponsored child and the work that Covenant is doing in Ethiopia.
