Our kindergarten school children have shown tremendous progress physically, mentally and spiritually, since they have enrolled in our program. These pre-school children, will have a firm foundation, when they join elementary school. Recently Pastor Workinhe Mogesse who is one of the board member of Covenant International in Canada traveled to Tebasse Ethiopia, to see the children and the school. He was very impressed by the work Covenant stuff memebers are doing in this poor area.

DCI is a
Calgary based Christian ministry who have prepared a discipleship program which is now being used in more than thirty countries around the world. DCI's teaching manual was officially launched in
Ethiopia in partnership with Covenant International Ministry. The Executive director Al Middleton and one of the staff Ron Nelson traveled to Ethiopia recently to train leaders from nine denominations about the program. All the participants of the seminar were, very grateful for the training and the manual they received.

Partners from
Calgary
Alberta, Canada visited our sponsored children and helped our projects in a number of areas for the third time in the past year and a half. The group, led by Pastor Phil, greatly appreciates what Covenant International is doing in
Ethiopia. They have also helped financially in the Full Gospel Church project, which is one of our volunteer bases and a partner in the Tebase region. We would like to extend our gratitude to pastor Phil and his team for investing in people’s life in significant way in the nation of
Ethiopia.

Sponsored children posed for a group photos after they received their new clothes at the compound of the CIM kindergarten school. These children are some of the poorest in the country, so without the help of donors and sponsors they have no other means of getting the basic needs like clothes, food, and education. Since we started the project, we have seen dramatic progress physically, mentally and spiritually. Ones again we want to thank our donors and sponsors in Canada.

Recently a delegation of CIM officials, church leaders and business people from
Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia visited and toured the facilities of Covenant kindergarten and children’s home. On this trip, two of the delegates sponsored six children and one of them paid for six month in advance for the two children she chose to sponsor. This is very encouraging for us because one of our goals is to encourage more native Ethiopians to participate in helping their disadvantaged citizens, rather than wait for the help arrive from the western world. We believe this will be the beginning of many local sponsors in
Ethiopia.
