January – June 30/2007 Mission trip Details

The number of childrenbeing sponsored is steadily increasing in 2007.

CIM has sent to the president and the vice president to Ethiopia and South Africa for Mission Trip to advance the work of CIM.

In Ethiopia we have been looking at the project area in Debrebirhan and Tebasie with 15 Canadian suporters and various locals from Addis Abeba.

We have a meeting with the Debrebirhan full Gospel Church leaders about the work. Since they are a local partner with us, we have signed a partnership agreement with them.

We have also meeting with the Debrebirhan Local Government Authorities about the work and they have pledged their cooperation to our progects. In Addis we had a meeting with our local branch office board members. This branch is called Vision for Ethiopia. In this meeting we upgraded the Local branch office bylaw, and we decide to hire an

individual to do the administration and the financial manual. This is funded privately and not taken from the sponsorship donations.

Also we have drafted and signed a Partnership agreement between VFE and CIM. Vision for Ethiopia is a local hand of Covenant International.

In South Africa We had a meeting with the REMA Ministry Pastor. In this meeting we had a chance to give a presentation regarding our ministry and work. The meeting was fruitful and a letter from REMA has been given to us with a promise for support. As they promised, they started their support a couple of months ago

$ 1500.00 rand a month. This support goes directly to the project area.

We also met the Ethiopian Church leaders in South Africa. After hearing the vision they gave a one time donation to our work in Ethiopia.
